My father once told me that if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life; and I must say, I never have worked a day in my life! I love what I do: Video and Television.

When I was in middle and high school I would edit video with two VCRs; that progressed into non-linear editing as a volunteer at a local church; and that progressed into specialized classes in high school and college.

After college I jumped into local news at WXIA-TV in Atlanta as a Freelance Video Editor for the Weekend Morning Show and ended up as a Multimedia Video Associate Producer for 11Alive News Today, a position created specifically for me and my talents. I was able to cross lines of producer, editor, photographer, web producer and technical support.

I grew up with computers, I received a Computer Repair and Networking Certification from West Central Technical College as a junior in high school. A little while later, I became an Avid Certified User for Media Composer. With my understanding of computers, networking and video production, I am now able to teach both my peers and superiors about non-linear editing, video server maintenance, video storage, DVD authoring, encoding and meta-data tagging.
